Acustica Audio Ultramarine includes 5 plug-ins that recreate the sound of truly legendary studio equipment from the 1950s and 60s. These models are so rare and expensive that even modern reissues command high prices. Our add-on pack includes everything you need to give your productions the immortal sound of great classics, thanks to our careful sampling of the original gear.
This compressor is based on arguably the most iconic of all dynamic processors. Described in the 1950s as “the universally accepted standard of level control”, it remains one of the most respected studio processors ever invented. Equally versatile in mastering studios as they are in radio broadcast facilities, the original machines sell for $20,000 or more on the second-hand market.
The sound of this impressive device is defined by its short attack and long release times, allowing you to keep transients under control while giving the body of the track a sonic “massage”. But with only around 1000 units ever produced and sold, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find one in perfect working condition. Over the years, numerous clones and emulations have been created, both hardware and software, in an attempt to capture the unmistakable character of this massive compressor/limiter, but no digital version can match the elegance of this magnificent piece of engineering.
Until now, that is. We sampled the original hardware unit directly to create our add-on, and we believe the results speak for themselves.

3. A-64 AMERICAN VINTAGE 2-BAND PASSIVE SOFTWARE EQ:
- Taken from a model released in the early 1960s with just 2 equalization bands.
- Features a low-pass shelving filter and a high-pass peak-type filter with 4 peak settings.

4. REVERB A-58:
